Lidia Colmenero
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Licensed Health Psychologist
Her doctoral dissertation examined the role of emotional regulation in suicidal behavior, and its findings were presented at national conferences. She has also conducted research on Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), publishing articles, book chapters, and work on therapeutic skills.
She has experience in private practice as well as at the Mental Health Unit of the San Juan de Dios Care Center, where she worked in group therapy with adults diagnosed with severe mental disorders.
She specializes in emotional regulation and in the treatment of OCD across different stages of life, working with both adults and child and adolescent populations.
Her work combines clinical practice with research and ongoing professional development, applying evidence-based approaches tailored to each patient. Her therapeutic practice is characterized by warm, empathetic care, supporting each individual with respect and motivation to foster emotional growth and well-being.
